Inayatiyya Weekly Music Class:
Indian Music
First Wednesdays, Fall 2021

The Sufi Message was born out of music. We invite you into the richness of the Inayatiyya musical heritage, and through this to attune in life.

For Fall 2021 we offer a weekly Inayatiyya Music Class series Wednesdays, 11 am to 12 pm New York Time. Please see the sidebar for the time in your local area.

On first Wednesdays, October 6, November 3, and December 1, we will learn about Indian music. In our classes we will learn songs from the Minqar i Musiqar, Hazrat Inayat Khan’s classic 1912 work on Indian music theory and practice.

The Indian Music Class series is cumulative, requiring advanced registration and participation in all three classes. Suggested tuition is $45 for the series. Please see sidebar to register.

Our teacher is renowned singer Aziza Rekha Bhardwaj from Mumbai, India.

The Minqar-i Musiqar may be purchased through our publishing house, Suluk Press.

See here for additional Inayatiyya Music Classes on Hazrat Inayat Khan’s Teachings on Music, Meshk, and Whirling.
