Dar Golestaneh – The Garden Within
A Spring Giving Campaign from the Inayatiyya

For many years, this community has gathered its generosity in a single annual surge. We are changing that because both the community and the cost of sustaining it have grown. Expanded staff, increased operating costs, and the natural ebb of program revenue have brought us to a moment that calls for a steadier, more continuous flow of support.

A garden cannot thrive if it is tended only once a year.

Dar Golestaneh – The Garden Within is our spring giving campaign (at least, here in the northern hemisphere) and the first expression of a new, twice-yearly rhythm of giving. It is an invitation to participate in the ongoing life of this community: its teachings, its gatherings, its quiet and profound work in the world.

Whatever you offer here – large or small, one-time or recurring – enters the soil of something that is alive and growing.

Why your support matters

The Inayatiyya exists to carry forward the legacy of Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan — a living stream of wisdom, practice, and spiritual kinship that reaches seekers across the globe. This work is sustained almost entirely by the generosity of those who have found something of value in it.

As our global community continues to grow, so does the call to do this work well: to support teachers, sustain gatherings, tend to the needs of seekers near and far, and preserve a transmission that belongs to no single place or person.

Your gift makes all of this possible.

A special invitation: become a sustaining companion

Of all the ways to give, this is the one that changes everything.

The most meaningful gift you can offer this garden is your consistent presence. Those who give monthly – in whatever amount reflects their means – become what we call Sustaining Companions of the Path: the steady rain that the garden depends on, month after month, season after season.

Monthly giving allows us to:

  • Plan with greater confidence and intention
  • Reduce our reliance on the intensity of a single year-end appeal
  • Invest in longer-term work that one-time gifts alone cannot sustain
  • Extend our reach to seekers who are waiting to find this community

Many people find that giving a smaller amount monthly feels more natural than a single annual gift. If you have ever wanted to feel more continuously connected to this work, a monthly offering is the most direct way to do that.

You can set up a monthly gift by recurring credit card through our giving portal, or by arranging a monthly bank transfer. Details for both are below.

In this cycle of giving, those who contribute $99 or more – whether in a single gift or through monthly giving that reaches $99 over the course of the year – will receive a set of nine Divine Name cards as a small expression of our gratitude. You may recognize their design. If you made a gift in 2025, you may have received a single card as part of your acknowledgment – the first glimpse of what we hope will, over time, become a complete set reflecting all 99 Divine Names. Each offering becomes part of something unfolding gradually, like a garden coming into bloom, one element at a time.

Wire transfer, gifts of stock, and bequests

Gifts of stock and planned bequests are among the most significant expressions of long-term commitment a donor can make. If you have been considering this kind of gift, we welcome that conversation.

Every gift is a tending
There is no gift too small to matter here. The seed, the root, the blossom – each plays its part. What you offer today joins a long line of quiet, faithful acts of care that have kept this work alive across generations.

We are grateful for your presence in this garden, and for whatever way you choose to participate.

With deep gratitude,
The Inayatiyya
