„Day of Water“ – Sunday, September 21st
Dear friends,
This year at Easter, Pir Zia proposed a Ziraat lodge at the sources of the Danube, Brigach, and Breg in the Black Forest. Along the Danube, the second longest river in Europe after the Volga, Europe was settled upstream from the Black Sea. Through Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, and Austria, to Germany, language areas, trade flows, cultures, and religions connected. Alongside the Volga, the Po, the Rhine, and the Rhône, the Danube today represents the idea of Europe. Pir Zia’s impulse has now been expanded.
We are expanding Pir Zia’s idea and invite you to celebrate a ‘Day in Honor of Water’ at your location. This will take place this year on Sunday, September 21, the day of the equinox, celebrated in all continents and countries. The equinox represents balance and justice, just like water and the scales of water, which are especially important today. Everyone is invited to celebrate, who wants to honor water and its beings and connect with them.
Who? You can do this alone or with a group.
What? Honor the water with a prayer, a meditation, a ritual, a dance, a music performance – however you wish.
Where? By a brook, river, lake, or at the sea, wherever you live
When? There is no set time for the celebrations. All people celebrating will send a “water wave” around our planet Earth on September 21st, creating an impulse for peace and justice.
All people who celebrate together will send a “wave of water” around our planet Earth on September 21, and with it an impulse for peace and justice. We look forward to you celebrating alone, with your family, or with a group. May these waves lead us to the source, to the silvery shimmering water of life.

If you want, you can take a photo of your celebration or your water place, paint a picture, etc. This can be sent to my email address. A collage will be created from the submissions.
Anyone who feels addressed is invited to participate. Water Day is not limited to Sufi communities.
