The Inayatiyya Knighthood
Hosted by the Inayatiyya Knighthood of Purity & Featuring Pir Zia Inayat Khan
September 11th – 12th, 2021 via Zoom

The Inayatiyya invites you to a virtual gathering for all those who are attracted to contemporary chivalry.

We will explore what it means to be a modern knight and also come together to honour one of the inspirators on the chivalric path – Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan.

Noor is the daughter of the Sufi mystic, Hazrat Inayat Khan, and as part of the French resistance during World War II eventually sacrificed her life for freedom on 13 September 1944. Noor-un-Nisa’s name means “light of womanhood.” To learn more about Noor, please visit noorsociety.org

Presenters include Suhrawardi Gebel, Alia Arnesen, Qayyima and Kabir Clainchard, Angelika Eisenmann, and Pir Zia Inayat Khan.

Global Times: We will gather from 9 am – 1 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)/ 3 pm – 7 pm Central European Time (CET) on both Saturday and Sunday, September 11th & 12th. Please see the sidebar for your local times.

Costs: Our seminar weekend is free to all. However, we would like to use the opportunity to raise funds for Fazal Manzil, the Inayat Khan family home in Suresnes, France.

If you can pay, we kindly suggest a donation between 40€ and 80€. Advanced registration is required to receive the Zoom link. Angelika Eisenmann works as a referent for the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. She is a city guide in Munich and studied Political Science at the “Hochschule für Politik”, also in Munich, which she finished with a diploma in Philosophy on Friedrich Nietzsche’s “Superman”.

Angelika describes what memory work means to her:
There is an ethical-moral obligation to preserve and pass on the memory of the people who were victims of Nazi crimes. This obligation exists towards the victims, as well as their families and friends. Concerning this subject, there can and must be no time limit for remembrance work!

Moreover, I believe that we must look back at the past more often in order to understand our present and to be able to better weigh possibilities for shaping the future. My experiences for memory work are mixed. Unfortunately, there are some people, especially young people, who remain completely untouched by the suffering of the prisoners in Dachau concentration camp.
