Inayatiyya Leadership Gathering 2023
Hosted by the Inayatiyya International Board
March 18th – 19th, 2023 via Zoom

If you are a leader within the Inayatiyya, active or in-training, please see below for details on our annual Inayatiyya Leadership Gathering, to be held Saturday, March 18th and Sunday, March 19th, 2023.

Please join us for our annual gathering of Inayatiyya Leaders, including those of us within the Seven Activities—Inner School, Healing, Kinship, Universal Worship, Ziraat, Knighthood & Music—as well as national board members, staff, and emerging leaders. This gathering is free and open to all leaders.

At our March 2020 leaders gathering, Pir Zia shared his inspiration to realign with Murshid’s vision to create a Sufi Movement. Pir Zia also invited us to integrate the Seven Activities and work more holistically across the 21 countries where we have murids present. The Inayatiyya International Board (IIB) was appointed to help facilitate this process of realignment and integration in collaboration with our various message councils and countries.

In March 2021, we met for a second time as a global leadership body and took our first leap into the creation of this container. On March 18th and 19th, 2023, we will meet for a third time with Pir Zia, to go through the Sophic Whorl as a process helping us take the inner steps necessary to evolve into becoming a movement. The IIB will share an Integrative Approach towards a path of organisational liberty, and we will work together in small groups and as a community to feel this sense of movement.

The approach we are taking is to shift from using the term ‘organisation’ to turn towards the work of ‘organising’ an effective container, that helps us to feel like a supportive, unified and global community, while not losing the individuality of our work and cultures.

Our process is organic, led by the spirit of guidance, rooted in the teachings and in our strength as a community. Pir Zia has expressed it as follows:

“You know, if you’re jumping across a river from stone to stone, you can’t jump to a stone in the middle and then stop and then plan out your next leap. You won’t have enough momentum to reach the further stone. So you leap, and then you leap, and then you leap. So if you stand on the shore and think that I’ve got to have it all figured out in order to get to that shore, and until I do, I’m not going to leap to the first stone. You’ll never get across the river. It will be shown; you will be guided if you trust in that movement, in that leaping.“

That is what we’re doing. But we’re not leaping individually. We’re leaping together, which makes it much more interesting.

So, let’s find faith in each other, find faith in our endeavour, and most of all, find faith in that which is moving in our movement. And then, as Murshid always said, success is assured.”

Please sign up for the leap! While participation in this year’s leadership gathering is free, it is necessary to register in advance. Please register using Eventbrite.

We will share more detailed plans in the coming weeks. In the meantime, below is the schedule for our time together. There will be translations into German, French, and Turkish.

Please see below for our schedule. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email us at iib@inayatiyya.org.
