Pir Zia Inayat Khan will welcome his guest Cheikha Fawzia Al-Rawi for a special weekend on Saturday, September 19th, and Sunday, September 20th, at Fazal Manzil in Suresnes, France, with online participation also available.

Set in the historical “House of Blessings,” this gathering invites us into a space of deep presence, sacred music, and shared spiritual practices.

    Pir Zia Inayat Khan

    Pir Zia Inayat Khan, PhD, is a scholar of religion and teacher of Sufism in the universalist Sufi lineage of his grandfather, Hazrat Inayat Khan. Pir Zia is president of the Inayatiyya and founder of Sulūk Academy, a school of Sufi contemplative study and practice.
    He is author of Tears from the Mother of the Sun with visual artist Amruta Patil, Immortality: A Traveler’s Guide; Mingled Waters: Sufism and the Mystical Unity of Religions; and Saracen Chivalry: Counsels on Valor, Generosity and the Mystical Quest. Pir Zia divides his time between Richmond, Virginia and Suresnes, France.

    Cheikha Fawzia al-Rawi

    Cheikha Fawzia al-Rawi, PhD, is a spiritual guide, scholar of Islam, and teacher of Sufism dedicated to bridging cultures and exploring the Sacred Feminine. Born in Baghdad, she spent her childhood in Iraq and Lebanon, where she was first initiated by her grandmother into ancient women’s traditions. After completing her Arabic and Islamic studies at the Universities of Vienna and Cairo, she spent twelve years in Jerusalem, where she received direct transmission and deepened her path under the guidance of her master, Sidi Shaykh Muhammad al-Rifai. She is the founder of the House of Peace (Haus des Friedens) in Vienna and the creator of the non-profit organization SAFA. A prolific writer, she is the author of Divine Names: The 99 Healing Names of the One Love and Grandmother’s Secrets: The Ancient Rituals and Healing Power of Belly Dancing. Today, she leads international circles that offer a profound integration of body, soul, and spirit.
