A Journey Forward—Heartfelt Gratitude and an Invitation for New Leadership

Dear Friends of the Caravan,

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I am writing to express our deepest gratitude for Alia’s remarkable decade of service as our Executive Director (ED). She has been a true powerhouse and inspiration, managing the Inayatiyya through challenges and celebrating moments of joy with grace.

We will miss her presence as an ED, and the foundation she has built will continue to resonate in our hearts. As we turn our gaze toward the horizon, we are full of hope and excitement for the future. We have formed a dedicated team to guide the ED search process, including Amina Hall (Emeritus Board Chair), Sohrob Nabatian (Emeritus Vice Chair), Aseil Abu-Baker (Board Secretary), Jennifer Alia Wittman (ED), and myself.

We invite Inayatiyya community members to step forward for the pivotal role of Executive Director. This role embodies our mission and will support shaping our future in partnership with Pir Zia and the Board of Trustees. Executive Director Position Overview

Role: The Executive Director oversees the administration and management of the Inayatiyya North America & Oceania, including strategic planning, financial management, staff oversight, board relations, and legal compliance. This role is vital in addressing the needs of spiritual seekers and the planet by shaping a forward-looking organization. The Executive Director engages in discussions on global governance, develops new program delivery models, and improves the organization’s digital presence while considering adoption of new technologies.

The Executive Director ensures support for the Pir and as a result has oversight of a global staff of full-time employees and contractors, as well as select projects and programs with global reach.

We will conduct initial interviews late April/early May 2025. Initially, the position will be open to Inayatiyya community members, then to the general public later in April. Our aim is to finalize the position by May 30, 2025.
