We are getting excited about Season of the Rose, our big annual Sufi Camp, this year returning to Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Are you thinking of pilgrimaging to be together with us, to join in deep communion with your closest spiritual teachers and friends? We hope you come.

This year’s gathering will be more intimate, with all activities taking place in Lewis & Clark’s student union (rather than spread out across the campus like in 2016), and with a heavy emphasize on suhbat (spiritual conversation) and zikr (remembrance).

Here is the latest schedule, to be fine-tuned with your input over the next 10 weeks.

We will explore Hazrat Inayat Khan’s Ten Sufi Thoughts as they relate to our lives and to the world we live in today, with faculty including Pir Zia Inayat-Khan, Devi Tide, Gayan Macher, Tasnim Hermila Fernandez, Deepa Gulrukh Patel, Jacob Ellenberg, and Special Guest Cheikh Sufi of the Mouridiyya Order of Sufis.

Options for Attending

There are three options for attending Season of the Rose:

  • You can come for the entire five-day program, Wednesday, June 26 – Monday, July 1, with or without housing and meals on campus. (All housing includes three meals a day, beginning with dinner our arrival day and ending with lunch on our last day.)
  • You can come for the weekend + Monday only, Friday, June 28 (evening) – Monday, July 1 (lunchtime), including lunch and dinner each day yet not housing.
  • You can come any evening for Suhbat & Zikr for a donation of $10-20 each night.
