The Sufi Tarot – Readings & Reflections
w/ Nizam un Nisa Ayeda Husain
Wednesdays, September – December, 2023
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm ET / 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm CET
Written and created by Ayeda Husain, The Sufi Tarot is a tool for personal transformation, inspired by traditional tarot but reconceptualized in the context of Sufi philosophy, art and culture.Â
This 78-card deck and guidebook is a unique healing tool based on ancient Sufi teachings that are being presented for the first time in a modern context, both visually and textually. The comprehensive guidebook explores each tarot card in a Sufi mystical context and the artwork, replete with sacred symbology, inspires us to delve deeper and connect with dormant, unmanifest qualities within ourselves.
Join us as we delve deeper into the Divine Names the Major Arcana are based on and the Elements of the Minor Arcana, all in relation to our own journeys.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own decks to these interactive sessions which will give us opportunities to contemplate, meditate and workshop together.
The Sufi Tarot is a bridge between the inner and the outer. It is a bridge between cultures, a bridge between past and present, and a bridge between our souls. But perhaps, most importantly, it is a bridge between the healed and unhealed parts of our beings.Â
Classes are on Wednesdays, September 13th, October 11th, November 8th & December 13th from 1:00 – 2:30 pm New York / 7:00 – 8:30 pm Paris.
