Direct contact with your soul is not a concept, but a real experience available to all.

The soul’s essential condition is freedom. Endowed with agency and curiosity, beckoned by the pleasures of life, we involve ourselves in all manner of worldly experiences which both delight and dismay us. Too easily we forget and lose contact with the direct experience of the soul’s innate peace and freedom. Instead, we find ourselves caught in webs of concern in our professional lives, our relationships, and life’s everyday struggles. Our worldly life is far from the whole story.

How do we find our path through the cosmic maze? 

The retreat process provides  an opportunity to consciously discover the steps to our soul’s natural state. No two paths are alike. Within deep stillness the path begins to reveal itself. Mystics have called this process Awakening. And in that innate freedom, we find that the soul can actualize its unique qualities and at the same time find its ultimate fulfillment through communing in the Great Soul, the Divine.

Sufism’s theory and practice provide a systematic approach to the direct experience of the soul and the rediscovery of the soul’s innate freedom.

Sessions will offer guided Sufi practices of meditation, breath, sound, and light that catalyze and support this transformative process. Further instruction will be given regarding how to continue practice in between the sessions where we are all together.

This is a silent retreat, which means attendees are asked to wholly refrain from speaking, unless absolutely necessary. Silence is a core factor in the transformative process.
